PiiPoo Cultural Centre: I AM HOPE – Art Workshops for Young People

From 2022 to 2023, PiiPoo cultural centre will organise art workshops for young people in four Tampere Region’s municipalities and will plan a multidisciplinary art event for young people with young people.

The four partner municipalities included in Operation Pirkanmaa will be confirmed in the spring, and young people from these municipalities can participate in the I AM HOPE project. The workshops in the municipalities will utilise different art methods to support the participants’ wellbeing and creativity.

In the workshops, the young people involved can think about the future and the meaningfulness of life: what kinds of things inspire hope – and what elicits hopelessness. How can we process these emotions with our peers?

Piipoo is coordinating the project, which receives funding both from the Erasmus+ funding programme and from Operation Pirkanmaa. The project also has a Slovenian partner, the Pionirski Dom cultural centre, whose young people and community artists will participate along with Finnish young people in planning the multidisciplinary art event amplifying the voice of young people in the spring of 2023.
