Art Express bus services from Tampere to Pirkanmaa cultural attractions in the summer
Hop aboard! The Art Express bus will be making pilot tours to the Nuutajärvi Glass Village and to Visavuori Museum and the Voipaala Art Centre in Valkeakoski on four Saturdays in summer 2023. During the summer, there will also be a daily shuttle bus to Serlachius Museums in Mänttä-Vilppula, known as the Art Town.
What is Art Express?
The Outdoor Express bus services to Pirkanmaa nature tourist attractions gained wide popularity when they were first organised in the summer of 2022.
This summer, the tourist bus services will continue while also expanding to cover arts and culture as Art Express services.
The Art Express bus will offer travellers sustainable and reasonably priced transport from Tampere city centre to Pirkanmaa cultural attractions on four Saturdays this summer.
The Nuutajärvi Glass Village in Urjala will be the Art Express destination on 10 June and 1 July.
The Visavuori Home Studio Museum and the Voipaala Art Centre will be the Art Express destinations on 17 June and 8 July.
In addition to these four pilot tours, the Art Express shuttle bus will run to Serlachius Museums in Mänttä-Vilppula every day during the summer.

The service is intended for both locals and tourists – the aim is to offer opportunities to visit cultural attractions for anyone who might be interested.
Tickets to the Valkeakoski and Urjala attractions can only be booked in advance from Matkahuolto online shop through the links that are provided on this web page. The Art Express buses are operated by service provider Atro Vuolle.
Please note that the Art Express bus tickets do not include entrance fees to the attractions, which will need to be purchased separately.

The Art Express pilot is being implemented in co-operation between the Operation Pirkanmaa project, Visit Tampere, Matkahuolto and the featured cultural attractions. In addition, Ekokumppanit Ltd. and the Sustainable Tourism Mobility project are partnering the pilot.
