Pirkanmaa Film Centre & Tampere Film Festival: 52 WINDOWS TO EUROPE – films throughout 2023

4.10.2022 A film screening for each day was planned for the European Capital of Culture year 2026. In Operation Pirkanmaa, the legacy project of the application process, plans were scaled back to a weekly level: in 2023, at least one thematically selected European film or series of films will be shown in the region each week - in other words, at least 52 European films during the year.

4.10.2022 Dance Theatre MD is one of the partners involved in the international two-year Rail2Dance project, which began in September 2022. This year, the partners received Creative Europe funding for the project. The main applicant is the ballet company of the Städtische Theater Chemnitz, and other partners are Plesni Teatr from Ljubljana and Norrlandsopera from Umeå.

23.9.2022 Operation Pirkanmaa, the legacy project of the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) bid, has supported more than one hundred projects during the course of 2022, including a series of Cultural Happenings to take place across the Tampere Region (a.k.a.
